What to know before you start
What's included in the free plan?
Each month, 5 incoming documents and 10 invoices you write, with the review queue, connectors and invoice tracking. Incoming e-invoices are read. Creating XRechnung and ZUGFeRD invoices starts with the Starter plan. No credit card needed.
Can I receive and create e-invoices?
Yes. Cypher Intern reads incoming XRechnung and ZUGFeRD invoices (CII and UBL) straight from their XML on every plan. From the Starter plan, you create your own invoices as XRechnung 3.0 or ZUGFeRD per EN 16931.
Does Cypher Intern work with DATEV and Lexware?
From the Professional plan, you export your bookings as a DATEV Buchungsstapel with debtors and creditors, optionally with the documents for DATEV Unternehmen online. Lexware Office has its own export.
Where do the invoices come from?
From Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP inbox, from Google Drive and OneDrive folders, by upload or as a photo. The AI reads the fields, you review and approve.
Where are my documents stored?
Cypher Intern files your documents in the storage you connect: Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint, Dropbox, S3-compatible storage, WebDAV or SFTP. So you decide whether your documents stay in Germany, elsewhere in the EU or outside it. The extracted invoice data is stored in Cypher Intern's own database.
How is my data protected?
Credentials for inboxes and drives are stored encrypted, and everyone sees only what their role allows. You accept the data processing agreement (DPA) right in the app and handle GDPR data subject requests there too.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Paid plans run monthly or yearly and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the paid period. After that you continue on the free plan and your data stays.
